A unique leadership retreat planned and led by the seniors of the Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO), on the seminary campus in Gettysburg for youth in grades 8-11. Registration closes June 8, 2023.
Merriam Webster defines the word "slay" as "the ability to do something or perform exceptionally well or impressively: to be exceptionally impressive." Over the course of the weekend we will discuss how we can live a life that is “slay.” How can we be our authentic and amazing selves? Additionally, how can we utilize God on our journey? We all are capable of slaying life by being courageous, passionate, and joyous. God has provided us with many tools to do this, we will explore what they are and how we can use them best.
Registration will be limited to 50 participants. Registration cost is $120.00 per youth participant (youth in grades 8-11 and LYO members). Scholarships are available by submitting a request at: Youth Events Scholarships

Please note that adult youth/congregational leaders at not expected to participate in this retreat. We will have events team adult staff in attendance for practical and safety reasons.
Registration:
Distribute the 2022-2023 Youth Event Individual Registration Form to all participants, and make sure all youth participants, as well as their parents/guardians of all minors attending, have reviewed our expectations on the Y+FM events website. Your church’s primary leader will use these forms to complete the registration online. You’ll need to turn in the originals of these forms for each participant when you check-in (if you need to retain them for your own records, please make copies). Remember to collect any scholarship applications also.
Deadline to register is June 8, 2023.

If you received any scholarship applications, please enter them into the online form.
Once you have completed entering the information online, you may pay in full with a credit card directly in the form.
If you prefer to pay by check, or you are awaiting scholarship decisions, you may enter the promo code “CHECK” in the appropriate box and click “Apply Discount.” If you are awaiting scholarship decisions, you will be contacted directly with your adjusted total and information about how to submit your payment.
If you are paying by check, make sure to note your total before clicking “Apply Discount.” Please send a check made out to “Delaware-Maryland Synod” with the name of the event in the memo line and send to:

Please DO NOT bring checks with you to the event as these can be easily lost during the busy-ness of it!
What to Bring:
a Bible (any translation is fine)
rain jacket (if rain is in the forecast)
sleeping bag or sheets, blanket, pillow
toiletry items (soap, shampoo, etc.)
sleep stuff (PJs, retainer, etc.)
prescribed medication (if necessary)
reusable water bottle
layers for being inside/outside
towel, washcloth
