TRAVEL AND REIMBURSEMENT RULES
✈️ We highly recommend flying into Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP), as it is the main international airport serving Bucharest and the closest and best-connected airport to Călărași City. Another airport serving bucharest is Băneasa Airport (BBU), but flights to this airport are very limited
💸 The maximal international transportation costs that can be reimbursed is up to:
🇹🇩 Romania - 26 EUR using green transportation such as car sharing, bus, train (distance band 10 - 99 km)
🇧🇬 Bulgaria - 255 EUR using green transportation such as car sharing, bus, train (distance band 100 - 499 km)

IMPORTANT: Please take great care of your travel documents! In order for us to be able to reimburse you the whole amount that you are going to spend during your travel, we will need all your tickets, Boarding passes and invoices (the documents that show how much you have paid for your flights/train/bus - in PDF form) and fuel receipts in original if you come by car! We will collect all the physical documents you have in the first morning in Călărași and fill in together a Reimbursement Form.
TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT TO THE PICK-UP POINT
📍Pick-up point: A private bus rented by Monomyths Association for the whole group will pick us up from Piața Constituției, Bucharest (Parking lot in front of Palace of Parliament) at 18:00. This bus will take us directly to Albatros Complex.
🚌 Day Bus: To reach the pick-up point, from Henri Coandă Airport you need to take bus 100 to Piața Unirii (the last station which is less than 10 minutes walking distance from our pick up point in Piața Constituției). You can follow the signs in the airport which will take you to the bus station. The bus station is right as you exist the airport - you don’t have to walk to get to it.
Best option! You can buy your ticket from the machine located in the bus station using both cash and card. The cost of one trip is 3 RON (0.60 EUR). This price is the same regardless of how many stations you travel. This way, you will receive a receipt that will allow us to reimburse you the cost of your trip (as long as you do not throw the receipt away).
You can pay for the trip directly in the bus contactless by using Mastercard or Visa. Although this is the easiest option, the issue is that you will not receive a receipt, therefore we can not reimburse you the 0.60 EUR spent for the trip.
IMPORTANT: However you choose to pay for your trip, please make sure to buy your ticket because there are high chances for a control❗️
IMPORTANT: We do not cover taxi or private car (such as Uber or Bolt). Also, please keep in mind that we strongly recommend you to avoid cabs from airport.
IMPORTANT: For those who want to explore Bucharest or any other parts of Romania, please consider coming 2 days before the mobility or staying 2 days longer after, on your own expenses.
PREPARATION OF PARTICIPANTS & PRE-ASSIGNMENTS
In this context, each national team will be invited to prepare and facilitate a few short energiser activities that can be carried out with the whole group. These activities will help boost group energy, encourage interaction, and support intercultural learning.
Don’t worry - you will not be left alone in this process! A few weeks before the mobility, we will organise an online preparatory meeting where we will explain everything in detail, share examples, and answer any questions you may have.
During the project, we will organize Intercultural (Traditional) Evenings, where you will have the opportunity to present and celebrate your country’s culture.
Please note that, unfortunately, we are not able to reimburse expenses for items you bring for these evenings, so we encourage you to be creative and have fun with what you prepare.
You are welcome to bring traditional costumes, decorations, leaflets, posters, flyers, food, sweets, or any other cultural items. You can also prepare videos, photos, songs, dances, or interactive activities that represent your country.
We are counting on your enthusiasm to make these evenings as engaging and memorable as possible, and we promise to support you in any way we can throughout the preparation and during the event.
A valid health insurance is mandatory for the entire duration of the project. We strongly recommend obtaining the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
The EHIC can usually be requested free of charge through your national health insurance provider (online, by phone, or in person). It allows access to necessary public healthcare services during your stay abroad under the same conditions as residents of the host country.
If you are unsure how to obtain the EHIC or if it is not available in your country, please contact your sending organisation or Monomyths Association - we will be happy to support you and help you find a suitable solution!

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also:
supports the European Pillar of Social Rights
implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027
develops the European dimension in sport
The outcomes of Erasmus+ are available in reports and compendia of statistics, as well as through the Erasmus+ Projects Platform. This includes most of the initiatives funded by the programme and a selection of good practices and success stories. If you would like to know more about the Erasmus+ Programme, check out the following site.
YOUTHPASS CERTIFICATE
All young people participating in the youth exchange are entitled to receive an international Youthpass certificate, which recognises and validates the key competences, knowledge, and attitudes acquired or developed during the mobility.
Youthpass is not only a certificate but also a learning and self-reflection tool. Throughout the process, participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal learning journey using the 8 Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, helping them better understand and articulate what they have learned.
