Department of Economics

AKWABA! WELCOME!

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Economics at McGill University (Canada). I graduated in 2022 with a PhD in economics from Institut Polytechnique de Paris and Telecom Paris.

My research interests include applied economics, applied econometrics, digital economics, digital finance, financial economics, and development economics. Using high-frequency data (billions of transaction data) and advanced statistical techniques, my work focus on the investigation of the economic impact of digitization and structural and cyclical change, highlighting the wider implications for real-time policymaking in a rapidly changing and digitizing world. I am particularly interested in studying the impact of (un)anticipated shocks such as technological innovations, pandemics, climate change, natural resource discoveries and major sporting events on the real economy.

I previously worked as an Economist and Data Scientist consultant at Banque de France and Cartes Bancaires CB. My education and professional experiences have equipped me with robust knowledge of economic theory and strong skills in data management and analysis. I excel at multitasking and conducting diverse economic research projects, with a passion for using data to identify trends and infer mechanisms to advance economic research.
