DOBBS TWO YEARS LATER
Yesterday marked the two-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade after 49 years.
I might be a little tough on all of us about abortion. At the same time I will discuss mercy. Tough act. There is no reason for abortion except as a political weapon. Women have the right to contraception (sin) and to abstain from sexual relations. One of the by products of sex is to have babies to sustain life.Thats what it does.Sex as pleasure only, is a sin. Its not a women's health issue or a reproductive right. It is not a right its an outcome. So a woman can use birth control or abstinence to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. So why do we need abortion ? Let keep it simple, abortions kill babies so that a woman can have a few moments of pleasure. Its preventable.
So, are you really a practicing Catholic trying to go with Jesus down the narrow road or are you taking the wide and easy road with the mob and satan ?
I think true Catholics need to see abortion as sin and try to eradicate it in three ways.
The Catholic faith stands firm on the sanctity of life, and any Catholic who supports mothers, abortion providers or politicians that endorse the practice of abortion, a grievous moral evil, risks the peril of their immortal soul. Doing nothing is a sin as well. It is crucial to prioritize one's spiritual well-being over political leanings, for the salvation of one's soul is paramount.
Furthermore, the Church calls upon its faithful to approach those involved in the tragedy of abortion with mercy and compassion, entreating them to reconsider their ways and welcome them back with open arms should they renounce their actions.
The root of this issue lies in the broader decline of Catholic values and principles within society, which must be addressed with unwavering commitment to the faith. We need to restore and increase sacramental marriages and good holy families.
So lets Vote our faith without exception, pray for pro abortion advocates including mothers who have had abortions and restore and increase sacramental marriage and Catholic families.
Let me leave you a picture. What if Jesus's justice is for the sinners to be judged by all the millions of babies we allowed to be snuffed out and took away their chance to contribute to our society. They had their rights taken away, for a moment of their mothers selfish pleasure. We pray at mass to forgive us for what we have done and what we have failed to do. If we do nothing we should stand the same justice?
We need to return to Jesus down the narrow road and discard this ridiculous notion that killing a baby is a woman's right issue. Its murder pure and simple.
