You-Chiun Wang received the B.S. degree in computer science from National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan in 2001, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2003 and 2006, respectively. From 2007 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Computer Science, National Chiao Tung University. He joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2011, was promoted to a full professor in 2019, and serves as the department chair since 2022. His research interests include wireless and mobile networks, Internet of Things, and network softwarization. Dr. Wang has published more than 120 papers and book chapters. According to the Google Scholar, his publications have received more than 3,890 citations. His h-index and i10-index are 31 and 65, respectively.
Dr. Wang served as a guest editor of The Computer Journal and an editor of the ICT Express. Moreover, he served as a poster chair of APNOMS 2021, a TPC chair of APNOMS 2022, a vice chair of APNOMS 2023, a vice chair of IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2024, and the general chair of APNOMS 2025. He was also a TPC member of over 280 computer and communication conferences such as IEEE INFOCOM, ICDCS, and WCNC. He is an IEEE senior member and a member of ACM, IET, and IEICE. Furthermore, he has been selected as one of the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University.
