New conference presentation
On February 24th, 2026, Dr. Matta and Roopa presented at the National Association of School Psychology (NASP) annual meeting in Chicago, IL. The presentation entitled "Updates on Assessment Bias. Less Talk, More Actions!" illustrated the implications of bias in writing assessments for the achievement gap among economically disadvantaged students. Participants learned how to identify multiple types of biases and use evidence-based practices to promote fair school-based assessment decisions.
