How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want one headset that covers PS5, PS4, PC, Switch, laptop and phone with a low-latency dongle plus active noise cancellation, choose YOTMS Gaming Headset; if you need a safer, kid-focused Bluetooth headphone with switchable volume limits and a share port, choose SIMOLIO 4.
• YOTMS Gaming Headset — biggest strength: dual wireless done properly. It pairs Bluetooth 5.3 with a 2.4GHz USB dongle, so consoles and PC get the stable low-latency route while phones, laptops and tablets get the convenient one. Add a 3.5 mm jack and you can plug into almost anything.
• YOTMS Gaming Headset — biggest trade-off: it's a single adult-sized over-ear headset in white, with no volume-limiting safety features and no share audio. It's built for one listener, not for supervising a child's listening level.
• SIMOLIO 4 — biggest strength: the 3-level switchable volume limiter (75dB / 85dB / 94dB) plus a built-in mic and a share port that lets a second pair daisy-chain off one wireless connection.
• SIMOLIO 4 — biggest trade-off: it's a kids' product first. The stainless steel headband, memory foam eartips and detachable nylon toddler straps are all about small heads and rough handling, and there's no 2.4GHz dongle path for consoles.
• Who each pick is for: YOTMS for a teen or adult gaming across consoles, PC and mobile; SIMOLIO 4 for parents buying for children, school and travel.
The YOTMS Gaming Headset — model Q6 — is designed around connectivity flexibility. You get Bluetooth 5.3 with a stated range of about 15 meters, a 2.4GHz USB dongle for the low-latency path, and a 3.5 mm jack as a wired fallback. That's three ways in, which matters because consoles and PCs have historically been awkward with plain Bluetooth audio. The dongle route is the one most gamers will actually want for PS5, PS4, PC and Switch, while Bluetooth handles laptop, phone and tablet duty.
On the audio side it uses 40 mm dynamic drivers with a 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz frequency range — the standard full-band span you'd expect from a stereo gaming headset. It also lists active noise cancellation, which is unusual at this tier and genuinely useful if you game near a fan, a washing machine or a noisy household. The noise-cancelling mic handles chat. A 40-hour battery claim means you can get through several long sessions without reaching for a cable, and the 2-year warranty description is a longer commitment than most budget headsets offer.
Who should buy it: anyone who wants one headset for console, PC and mobile, likes the idea of ANC for immersion, and doesn't want to think about charging every night. It's also the better pick if you wear glasses or have a larger head, because the over-ear leather-and-plastic build is adult-sized. Who should skip it: parents looking for a first headphone for a young child. There's no volume limiter here, no share port, and the white finish will show wear faster than a dark travel case would. If hearing protection is the priority, this isn't the product for that job.
The SIMOLIO 4 is a different category of product entirely. Its headline feature is the three-position volume limiter — 75dB, 85dB and 94dB — that lets a parent pick a ceiling instead of monitoring the dial. The logic is sensible: 75dB or 85dB for quiet environments like a bedroom or a car, 94dB when there's background noise such as a plane cabin or a busy school hallway. Two speakers handle playback, and a built-in mic enables hands-free calls and classroom participation.
The share port is the second standout. One headphone connects wirelessly to the device, and a second pair daisy-chains off it, so two listeners hear the same source without both needing their own pairing. For siblings on a road trip or two kids on one tablet, that's a genuinely useful trick.
Durability is clearly a design priority. The headband is flexible stainless steel, the earcups use memory foam for fit and noise isolation, and the package includes detachable nylon toddler straps to size the fit down for smaller children. The frame folds, and it ships with a rugged EVA case plus a USB charging cable, which is the right call for something that lives in a backpack. A 12-month warranty and dedicated customer service round it out.
Who should buy it: parents, grandparents and anyone buying for a child roughly toddler through early school age — especially for school, travel and shared screen time. Who should skip it: adults who want a gaming headset for a PS5 or PC. There's no 2.4GHz dongle, no active noise cancellation, and no 3.5 mm jack listed, so it won't slot into a console setup the way the YOTMS will.
• Best for console gaming (PS5, PS4, Switch, PC) → YOTMS Gaming Headset. The 2.4GHz USB dongle gives you the low-latency wireless path, and the 3.5 mm jack is a wired backup.
• Best for hearing protection with kids → SIMOLIO 4. The 75/85/94dB switchable limiter is the entire reason to buy it.
• Best for battery life → YOTMS Gaming Headset. 40 hours of claimed runtime versus a kids' headphone designed around shorter school-and-travel sessions.
• Best for two listeners at once → SIMOLIO 4. The share port lets a second pair daisy-chain off one wireless connection.
• Best for noise reduction while you play → YOTMS Gaming Headset. It lists active noise cancellation; the SIMOLIO relies on passive isolation from its memory foam earcups.
• Best for travel and school bags → SIMOLIO 4. Foldable frame, rugged EVA case, and toddler straps that pack down small.
• Best for calls and chat on mobile → either. Both have a built-in mic; the YOTMS adds a noise-cancelling mic for game chat.
• Best for a teen who games and also does homework on a laptop → YOTMS Gaming Headset. Bluetooth for the laptop, dongle for the console, one headset for both.
In my opinion, the YOTMS Gaming Headset is the one to buy if you're shopping for yourself or an older teen. It does the hard part — stable wireless on consoles, Bluetooth on mobile, wired as a fallback — and adds ANC and a 40-hour battery, which is a lot of ground covered by one pair. The SIMOLIO 4 is the better choice only when the buyer is a child and hearing protection is the point; its volume limiter and share port are features the YOTMS simply doesn't have. Pick based on who is wearing it, not on which looks more impressive on paper. If price is a factor in your decision, check the current price on Amazon before you commit.
The YOTMS Gaming Headset. It has a 2.4GHz USB dongle and a 3.5 mm jack, both of which suit console use. The SIMOLIO 4 doesn't list either, so it's not built for that setup.
Can the SIMOLIO 4 be used by an adult?
It can, but it's sized and designed for children — flexible stainless steel headband, memory foam earcups, and detachable toddler straps. An adult wanting a gaming headset with ANC and console support should look at the YOTMS instead.
No. The data sheet lists active noise cancellation and a noise-cancelling mic, but no volume-limiting feature. If child hearing protection is your priority, the SIMOLIO 4's 75/85/94dB switchable limiter is the feature you want.
The SIMOLIO 4, in my opinion. It folds, ships with a rugged EVA case and a USB charging cable, and the share port keeps two kids on one device. The YOTMS is the better travel pick only if you're an adult who wants ANC on a flight.
Ask who's wearing it. Adult or teen gaming across console, PC and phone → YOTMS Gaming Headset. Child, school, travel, hearing protection → SIMOLIO 4. Compare the current prices on Amazon for both before you decide.
