Yoshispeak (Yoshiàdo) is a conlang (Fictional Language) made for the lovable Nintendo character, Yoshi! It was created by Yoshers YordanYoshi and Reshi, who are the main peeps working on the conlang. The idea came around 2019, but didn't begin production as an actual conlang until late 2020. So far YÀ has over 1,000 words in its dictionary!
This is what Yoshilingo is for! A clear parody of Duolingo, a great website for learning actual languages (Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, etc), the goal is to be able to teach anybody Yoshispeak with just a little commitment and nothing else! While it is structured more like a documentation, we still want to make it as user-friendly as possible.
Yoshièdo structurally resembles English, but it's still very different, as it has grammar that is both simplified and different from the grammar native English speakers may be familiar with; however it isn't too different, and very easy to wrap your head around!
Another difference to note is the alphabet, as Yoshispeak has it's own unique script which contains 39 letters, and 6 special characters (for a total of 45 symbols). The alphabet does contain most the sounds from the English alphabet, although some sounds are mixed with others. Also, it contains some sounds not present in the English alphabet, at least not directly, like stressed E and A, Æ, and ZH.
Yoshispeak overall seems to be around a Category III Language in terms of difficulty (Such as Malaysian and Indonesian)
