[Access to Saga University] [Campus map (the workshop location is shown on this map)]
Access from Fukuoka airport to Saga Station:
To get to Saga Station from Fukuoka airport, you can take a bus or a train (the total travel time for both options is ~ 1h30min). This webpage may be useful to find how to get to Saga from Fukuoka airport.
Bus: You can take a bus just outside the international terminal at Fukuoka airport (although the bus from the international terminal is less frequent than those starting from the domestic terminal) . The timetable for the bus can be found here or here.
Train: First, you need to take a subway from Fukuoka airport station (at the domestic terminal) to Hakata station. Then you can take a JR rapid train from Hataka station to Saga station. You can check the timetable for the train here.
Access from Saga Station to Saga University:
Bus: You can take a bus to Saga University from Platform 4 at Saga Station bus center. No. 3, 4, 11 and 12 buses go to Saga University. You have to get off at the bus stop called “Saga Daigaku-mae” (Saga University).
The map of the Saga Station bus center is here.
You can also find general information regarding the bus service in Saga here.
From the bus stop, it takes about 5-10 minutes to get to Faculty of Science and Engineering Building.
Taxi: There’s a taxi stand just outside Saga Station where you can easily get a taxi. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get from the station to the university, depending on traffic. The fare is around 1500 JPY.
