Week 10
In this week I did the final touches to the map by adding a skybox. this includes things like distortion, clouds, lighting and shadows from the sun. for this map I wanted to create a very hot day. I did this by adding a little bit of distortion to recreate the heat waves that are created by the sun. The sun was placed near the middle of the sky as that is where it normally is mid day which is also the hottest. I still wanted some clouds in the game and therefor made them very minimal.
I added a slight orange tinge to the map but after further though it should be a light blue colour as the orange replicates a dawn or dusk. I also don't like the sand texture as when turning up the light intensity it made the sand look reflective and shiny. I couldn't find a fix for this even when I changed the roughness scale all the way up on the properties of the sand texture.
