I'm a philosopher working mainly in epistemology, philosophy of science, and metaphilosophy. Normally, I do research and teach at the University of Gothenburg. But currently (academic year of 25/26) I am a Pro Futura Scientia fellow in residence at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study in Uppsala.
Feel free to read some more about my research below, or use the menu above to access information about publications, talks, etc.
Previously, I've been a Swedish Research Council postdoctoral fellow (also at University of Gothenburg), visiting postdoc at the University of Manchester, UK (2020-22) and a postdoc at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (2019-20).
My Pro Futura project is called "Between knowledge and ignorance: epistemic possibilities in inquiry". In a nutshell, it explores what roles epistemic possibility judgements do and should play at various stages in inquiry, and seeks to develop an account of epistemic possibility that can better help us understand the nature, value, and epistemology of such judgements.
I have also worked a lot on epistemic value and on the epistemology of modality, including the epistemology of scientific modeling practices that scientists and/or philosophers of science take to support possibility claims. I have written an accessible summary of the latter field of research (in Swedish) here. Another main interest of mine is metaphilosophy, where I write about the aim and value of philosophy as a discipline and its implications for methodological questions concerning justification and theory-choice in philosophy.
I also maintain interest in the metaphysics of modality, scientific modeling and scientific representation, explanation, the epistemology of abstract objects, social epistemology, virtue epistemology, and metanormativity.
