I received my B.E in 2014 and Ph.D. in 2019, both in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong university. My Ph.D. advisor is Professor Zheng Yan.
Currrently I am a Postdoc researcher in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University, supervised by Professor Ning Lu.
My research interests mainly focus on the machine learning and data analytics in power systems, including but not limited to load forecasting, PV forecasting, load pattern recognition, demand response, etc.
I highlight my favorate publication as follows. [IEEE Xplore] _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Title: Operation strategy of smart thermostat that self-learn user preferences Compendium: We propose a practical method that enables a smart thermostat to track user preferences and derive the optimal temperature setting schedule. We assume that users are rational and aim to minimize their overall costs. First, we propose a Bayesian-Inference-based method that can quickly learn user preferences with a limited number of user behavior observations. Then, we generate the optimal temperature setting schedule via a Stochastic Expected Value Model (SEVM). Finally, we propose an operation strategy under which a thermostat can work automatically and continuously. Based on the proposed method, Users can conveniently enjoy a customized temperature zone with a lower overall cost.
