Welcome
Welcome!
This is a live photo I took at the Blue Nile Falls in Ethiopia after a whole night of pouring rain in summer 2017.

Hello there, I am an Earth Scientist at the Joint Global Change Research Institute at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
I conduct multi-disciplinary research, particularly on multisector dynamics through modeling and analysis. My current work involves a lot of GCAM development.
Global Change Analysis Model
Agriculture Trade
Understanding agriculture, energy, and water implications of cereal import dependency and climate change impacts
Hydropower
Projecting long-term hydropower expansion at the basin scale within a global multisector model (GCAM)
Food-Energy-Water Nexus
(a) Hydroclimatic prediction and projection to guide decision-making for agricultural planning, economic development, and reservoir filling
Spatial-temporal analysis of rainfall pattern
Statistical prediction model of seasonal rainfall
Frequency analysis and streamflow projections
Reservoir filling and operational policies, hydropower generation, and downstream impact
Agro-economic modeling under climate variability
(b) Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy and Water Systems (INFEWS)
Systems-based analyses to develop modeling capabilities for the nexus of Food, Energy and Water (FEW)
Influence of climate and potential development strategies on the system
