I am an postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, working with Drs. Tian Gu and Ying Wei. I received my Ph.D. in Biostatistics from University of Washington, where I was advised by Drs. Thomas Richardson and Gary Chan.
My research aims to develop rigorous statistical methods for valid and efficient causal estimation under complex and incomplete data settings. Specifically, I have been developing (1) instrumental variable methods for observational studies and randomized trials with noncompliance, (2) proximal learning approaches for single-arm and active-controlled trials, and (3) principled strategies for handling missing baseline covariates in randomized studies. I also enjoy close collaboration with clinical and biomedical researchers, applying statistical methods in alcohol use disorders, statistical genetics, and Alzheimer's disease, etc.
