Yi-Hsuan Hsieh 謝宜軒 / yihsuan.hsieh.phd [at] gmail.com
Yi-Hsuan Hsieh received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2022. She received her M.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2013 and her B.S. in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University in 2011.
She is passionate about designing and implementing end-to-end system applications with excellent timing performance. She is currently developing fault-tolerant and behavior coordination systems for robots at Bastian Solutions (Toyota Advanced Logistics). Her Ph.D. focuses on developing software and systems for non-expert users to program robot systems efficiently to meet robot tasks' timing and camera sensing quality requirements. Her previous software development experiences included developing a real-time smartphone application to detect real-world road rage events and implementing a wireless embedded sensing application for clinical patients in healthcare applications.
She is interested in developing software applications for sensing, cameras, embedded systems, sensors, robots, human-computer interaction, IoT, smart devices, smart homes, networks, distributed systems, cloud, databases, cyber-physical systems, infrastructure, and back-end.
