organizational Sign on letter in support of SHB 2907, Local option for addressing king county's homelessness crisis.

State legislators in Olympia have the opportunity to pass SHB 2907, authorizing a progressive corporate payroll tax to address homelessness and the critical lack of affordable homes in King County.

The Washington Low Income Housing Alliance and the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness invite member and partner organizations to sign onto this letter to express strong support for this creative proposal, and to urge legislators to adjust the proposal so it can generate significant resources for real, immediate, and lasting solutions to homelessness. The recent McKinsey & Co. report estimates that King County must be prepared to spend between $450 million and $1.1 billion annually in new resources for the next decade.
