Biography
Yen Hao, born in Malaysia in 2013, began and established great interest in violin at the age of four. Currently he is under the tutelage of Ergys Koni, a former violinist of Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Tomonari Tsuchiya, a renowned brisk pianist.
He is an award winning violinist and a pianist; A young and gifted Yen Hao is continuously winning many gold awards at Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival in 2017, 2018 and in 2019 respectively. This year, he was the first prize winner under the violin division and gold award winner under the piano division. In April 2019 he had been selected to perform in a piano recital organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland with Persatuan Chopin Malaysia in celebration of National Day of The Republic of Poland at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur.
He is the 2nd prize winner of 20th Osaka International Music competition for string category and special prize winner for piano category. He is also first prize winner of 2019 Euroasia string competition in Malaysia and special prize winner for Malaysia Piano Competition 2019. He is currently the youngest violinist of national orchestra junior division - Genius Seni Muzik. He had been selected to perform as soloist in Genius Seni Muzik 2019 'Showcase' at Federal Hotel. Thereafter, he had been selected to perform as soloist in "Genius Seni 2019" at Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
