Well, where do I start?
I think I should start with how it formed.
It originally wasn't called Yelminstradt, let alone how it looked like today. Instead, it was a small village, accompanied by many civilians, who embraced the village's culture.
Some believe that the culture was surrounded about by the existence of Mother. Mother, for those unclear, is a intergalactical being, along woth being a space god, who watches over the worlds that exist. In short, she is a god. The culture, and the religion surrounding her, as per usual, is pure myth, but it does have a lot of followers who listen to her words.
Unfortunately, we might never know if this village even supported her morals, or if it was a different religion/culture altogether, as it was never fully documented. There's small amount of info, and proof of it floating around the internet, if that is something that is interesting to any of you.
During this time, war broke out, and destroyed a lot of the island, destorying even the village. However, as soon as the war concluded, it was left abandoned.
During this time, there were many tribes who stumbled across the rubble of what used to be a village, and picked up the pieces, and has since rebuilt what was still standing. Over time, it only expanded, as more cultures, and different worldviews has colored the new iteration of the village. Soon enough, more buildings were established, and expanded further on the land.
Where the name came from is a bit of a mystery. Unfortunately, no traces of the name's origions has yet to be found, but either way, it's what makes this city special.
And afterwards, more buildings, architectures, and cities have since been built, and has flourished in its own unique ways. What separates Yelminstradt from other cities is not just the name, or the cultures, but the way this city is formed. Throughout its construction, many will abandon old things, in place for new ones. However, we don't do that here. We keep the "old", while we bring in the "new." Old buildings will stay, as more buildings will be created. In my opinion, I like the fact that old things are still around, as it might perk up anyone's interests on what the old days was like.
Another thing I can bring up, is the fact that there's so much you can interact with. If anything, this city is a tourist's dream. If you click on this link, you can read up on a museum that holds so much art, and more history, regarding not just the city, but other parts that I wasn't able to get into on this page. If you click on this link right there, you can take a look at the amount of constellations that appear in the sky at night. And if you want, click on this word here, it takes you to a blogspot that holds multiple images of murals, street arts, among with other work pieces from many artists all over town.
In general, what I want you to take away from all this, is that this city has standed the tests of time, and only grew from there. This place is now the face of Solia, and many people around the world, upon many other realms as well, visit this place on multiple occasions; with some even staying permanently.
Hopefully, this was informative for you all, and that you're more interested on Yelminstradt.
