Luckily Firefox browser on Android has addons and one of the available addons is Bitwarden! So just install it using Firefox menu and when you need to fill custom fields use Firefox browser and its Bitwarden addon.

hi ! I understand the problem. I have also experienced that the Android app will auto-fill all password related fields (like old/new password) with the same password but i am guessing auto-filling custom fields feature might still not be supported on android.

If you see the following help article Auto-fill Custom Fields | Bitwarden Help & Support , you will notice that it only mentions about browser extenstions for autofiling custom fields and nowhere the android app or any other client are mentioned. So my guess is its still not supported.

This is a list of Android distributions, that is, Android-based operating systems (OS), including, but not limited to, custom ROMs, forked from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) without Google Play Services included officially in some or all markets, yet maintained independent coverage in notable Android-related sources.

I created a custom view to display a gameboard for a game I'm developing. The gameboard needs to be a square at all times. So with and height should be the same. I followed this tutorial to achieve this.

In the layout I add the custom view and give the view a background color. When I display it on a device in portrait mode everything works fine and the background color is filling up the square I draw in the onDraw method.

I'm not sure what solution will serve the need, but code from the tutorial has fundamental design problem - it does not interpret MeasureSpec parameters of onMeasure() correctly. Answer in onMeasure custom view explanation explains correct interprestation of these parameters.

Loading web content has been a part of mobile apps since the early days ofsmartphones, but older options can present challenges for developers. Launchingthe actual browser is a heavy context switch for users that isn't customizable, while WebViews don't support all features of the web platform, don't sharestate with the browser and add maintenance overhead.

Custom Tabs offer a better user experience than opening an externalbrowser. They allow users to remain within the app while browsing, increasingengagement and reducing the risk of users abandoning the app. They accomplishthis by being powered directly by the user's preferred browser, and automaticallysharing the state and features offered by it. You don't need to write customcode to manage requests, permission grants, or cookie stores.

By using a Custom Tab, your web content will load in whatever rendering enginepowers your user's preferred browser. Any API or web platform feature isavailable there, and will be available in your Custom Tab. Their browsing session, saved passwords, payment methods, and addresses will all show up just like theyare accustomed to already.

Quite a bit! Custom Tabs give you fine grained control over a lot of the browserchrome and user experience. Within your app, you launch a Custom Tab using anIntent. When this Intent is called, you can add a number of attributes tothe CustomTabIntent to get the exact experience you want. Somecustomizations that you can add are listed here.

Trusted Web Activities extend the Custom Tabs protocol and shares most ofits benefits. But, instead of providing a customized UI, it allows developers toopen a browser tab without any UI at all. It is recommended for developers whowant to open their own Progressive Web App, in full screen, inside theirown Android app.

I tried to do custom component. I extended View class and do some drawing in onDraw overrided method. Why I need to override onMeasure? If I didn't, everything seen to be right. May someone explain it? How should I write my onMeasure method? I've seen couple tutorials, but each one is a little bit different than the other. Sometimes they call super.onMeasure at the end, sometimes they use setMeasuredDimension and didn't call it. Where is a difference?

After all I want to use several exactly the same components. I added those components to my XML file, but I don't know how big they should be. I want to set its position and size later (why I need to set size in onMeasure if in onDraw when I draw it, is working as well) in custom component class. When exactly I need to do that?

onMeasure() is your opportunity to tell Android how big you want your custom view to be dependent the layout constraints provided by the parent; it is also your custom view's opportunity to learn what those layout constraints are (in case you want to behave differently in a match_parent situation than a wrap_content situation). These constraints are packaged up into the MeasureSpec values that are passed into the method. Here is a rough correlation of the mode values:

Granted, because the framework does apply a default implementation, it may not be necessary for you to override this method, but you may see clipping in cases where the view space is smaller than your content if you do not, and if you lay out your custom view with wrap_content in both directions, your view may not show up at all because the framework doesn't know how large it is!

When a custom tab open from example Gmail app, the website opens and I've noticed there is blocked elements or I need to allow modify the ublock matrix to allow a change so the website can load up or the submit button can work. I click on the menu button and notice in custom tabs the add on menu is not there. Meaning I need to open the website in firefox full app and only then I have access to the add on menu to make changes.

Any dev on here know or notice this issue? Has it been reported or worked on as i think it is a basic option that the add on menu should be available in custom tabs...especially if Firefox is the default browser and users are using add ons like ublock origin.

I am trying to set Chrome's HomepageLocation setting value when I deploy to Android via UEM. This setting is not exposed in the Chrome browser profile, so I have been looking at -Workspace-ONE-UEM/services/Android(Legacy)_Platform/GUID-AWT-ANDRO... to set a custom setting.

Looking at this Google doc makes me think I have the param string correct: I have tried the XML with and without the protocol embedded in the string. And Vmware's custom settings doc actually specifies and "Android (Legacy)" Profile, but I'm using the Work Managed mode and creating a legacy profile doesn't deploy to my device.

The Android developer community is huge, with their biggest feat being the ability to develop custom ROMs or custom Android builds. A custom ROM is an aftermarket firmware production based on the Android source code provided by Google. So if you are someone who wants to install a custom ROM on your device but are confused about which one to go with, read on as we bring the 15 best custom ROMs for Android in 2023.Best Custom ROMs for Android (Updated March 2023)The main reason why people prefer custom ROMs is that almost every company drops support for their devices after 2-3 years of their launch. A custom ROM, on the other hand, helps keep your device alive and updated with the latest version of Android. Another reason why people seek custom ROMs is because of the extra features they offer. They also reduce bloatware that comes as a part of many manufacturer skins. While there are many custom ROMs out there, not all of them are stable enough to be used as your daily driver.Installing a custom ROM requires you to unlock the bootloader first, and have a custom recovery like TWRP (website) installed. Make sure to always create a backup of your Android device before proceeding. While the download link for officially supported devices is mentioned below, some of these ROMs may have an unofficial port available for other devices as well. Also, on some ROMs, you may have to flash a GApps package such as OpenGapps (website) or NikGApps (website). I have personally tested almost all the ROMs listed below on my Redmi K20 Pro, Poco F1, and Mi A1. Also, if you like the custom ROM, consider donating the developer behind the work.Table of ContentsPixel ExperienceLineageOSParanoid AndroidEvolution XXtendedProject ElixirPixelOSArrow OScrDroidHavoc-OSBliss ROMOmniROMXiaomi.euSyberia OSPotato Project1. Pixel ExperiencePixel Experience is the best custom ROM for Android right now and I can draw out three reasons for that. First, it supports a huge number of devices from Xiaomi to Realme to Asus to Samsung. Second, it brings Pixel features for non-pixel devices like the newer Google Assistant, built-in GCam support, Pixel live wallpapers, and more.

What is it with custom lists and Android builds? I just created a new custom list as it is the only way to incorporate a rating icon (or star rating) to show average ratings on our listings. My list only has 30-40 items. On iOS, app works just fine and the custom list loads smoothly and quickly. On Android, its a totally different story. Half of the list images load, others do not. But scrolling up/down the list is unbelievably glitchy! The app feels so slow on Android, no customer would agree to put their CC details and pay on an app this slow.

The issue is not with custom list, anything will be slower in general on Android for many reason, I had a nightmare with Android phones on my app earlier, but managed to solve most issues and now my app is running on 3-4 years old android phones, still much slower than IOS but acceptable

Just wanted to let you know that I have found the root cause to why my custom lists had slow performance on Android devices. It was related to the Image Component within the custom list.

Tip #2 Reduce Visibility Conditions for components inside the Custom List

Say you have a custom list that contains a Text Field, an Image, and a button. Most likely, you are building a custom list because you want to have control over the design of the list + the conditions under which it displays the information. From experience, designing a list that consistently displays all its components WITHOUT the use of conditional visibility has served me very well. ff782bc1db
