I am Yeganeh Karbalaei, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Oklahoma, where I recently completed my Master’s degree in Applied Economics. My research focuses on Development, Gender Economics and Health Economics.
Currently, I am working on two projects examining how political and economic shocks shape health and demographic outcomes in developing countries, one on how the Arab Spring affected women's marriage and reproductive decisions in Egypt, and another on how remittance disruptions following the Russia-Ukraine war affected child nutrition in Tajikistan.
