Yearpath is designed to help you build and refresh minimalist lock-screen wallpapers. Protecting your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how the app handles data, which permissions it requires, and how those permissions are used.
1. Data Collection and Usage
- Yearpath does **not** collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
- All configuration data (such as palette choice, layout selections, and quote text) stays on your device. The app stores these preferences locally so it can remember your selections the next time you open it.
- The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking libraries, or external servers.
2. Permissions
The app requests the following permissions strictly to deliver its core features:

| `SET_WALLPAPER` | Required to apply the generated wallpaper to your lock screen (and home screen if you choose). |
| `SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM` (Android 13+) | Allows Yearpath to schedule a precise daily refresh so your wallpaper updates overnight without you opening the app. |
| `RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED` | Enables the app to restore its scheduled wallpaper refresh after the device restarts. |
| Photo library access (e.g., `READ_MEDIA_IMAGES` on Android 13+) | Requested only when you pick a background photo. The selected image is kept on your device and is not uploaded anywhere. |
Yearpath never requests additional permissions beyond those listed above. If a permission is denied, the associated feature may not work (for example, the app cannot apply wallpapers without `SET_WALLPAPER`).
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Wallpaper configurations, selected photos, and generated imagery are stored exclusively on your device.
- Removing the app deletes the stored data. We do not retain any backups on external servers.
4. Third-Party Services
Yearpath does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, cloud services, or social platforms. Your usage remains private to your device.
5. Children’s Privacy
Yearpath targets a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because we do not process any personal information, no additional parental controls are required beyond the standard device permissions model.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and distribute the updated policy with future app releases. Continued use of the app after changes take effect signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
