It's okay to feel lonely and sad, just as it's okay to feel moments of feeling happy and hopeful.
Some days it feels as though I will never stop crying. I will let my tears fall without rebuke. The expression of my grief will help me to move through it.
I will reach out to a friend who can listen to sadness without trying to fix it. By sharing my sadness with someone I can be open to healing.
I will make space for all of my emotions including sadness. Denying my sadness will only prolong the pain of my loss.
I will embrace my sadness just as I embrace joy, knowing that it will lead to healing.
