I may not be able to take on all of my usual activities. This is normal. I can focus on being productive in ways that take care of myself.
I may have moments when I feel overwhelmed but I will feel better soon. I will pause to take a few deep breaths.
Grieving is one of life's processes, one that I can gradually learn and adjust to.
Somedays I find my emotions hard to manage saying things I wish I hadn't, feeling suddenly angry, or vulnerable from saying more than I intended. I will remind myself that letting my emotions go through me is more helpful focus than trying to control them.
