YeahNah ("the app") does not require an account and does not collect any personally identifiable information you type into it (your decisions, options, and history stay on your device in local storage).
What we collect
We use **Google Firebase Analytics** to understand how people use the app (e.g. which decision rituals are popular, which screens are used, which settings are changed) so we can improve it. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect:
- Device information (device model, OS version, language, country/region)
- App usage events (screens viewed, buttons tapped, features used — see below)
- A Google Advertising ID / App Instance ID (a random identifier, not tied to your name or email)
- Approximate location (derived from IP address, city-level only)
We do **not** collect your name, email, phone number, or any account credentials — the app has no login.
Events we log
Examples: app screen views, ritual/mechanism selected, decision locked in, result shared, settings changed (theme, haptics, language, drama level), history cleared.
Permissions
- **Microphone** — used only when you tap the mic button to enter options by voice. Audio is processed on-device/by the OS speech recognizer and is not stored or sent to us.
- **Notifications** — used for optional app update prompts.
- **Vibration** — used for haptic feedback during rituals.
Data sharing
Analytics data is processed by Google (Firebase) under [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not sell your data or share it with any other third party.
Data retention / deletion
Your decision history and settings are stored only in local app storage and are deleted when you clear history in Settings or uninstall the app. Analytics data retention follows Firebase Analytics' default (currently 14 months), configurable in our Firebase project.
