I wouldn't have the first clue as to how to pull the audio from the actual DCS files. I found them, but they are just code files.

Hello everyone! I recently changed a work phone from Android to iOS and has saved the ringtones from the Android on my PC. They appear to be mp3 files, when I drag them to Itunes naturally they appear only in the music tab. How can I get these rintones to work on my Iphone? I tried the convert AAC route but when I go to file and convert the AAC option is grey. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Would appreciate specific instruction is possible, not too tech savvy anymore lol.

Hi! Thank you for your reply, unfortunately neither one helped my issue. I have a folder with ringtones under mp3 format which iOS does not recognize as a tone, only .mr4. I just need a way to convert the mp3 format to mr4 so I can use them as ringtones in iOS.

Actually it Works Fine!!! you just must get double click to the tone once it was changed their extension to m4r. And automatically it will import to your ringtone list.

pd. I use thats parameters to make the convertion: the mp3 to an AAC version of 128kbps 44100 and stereo.

it actually doesnt work. ive done it all and double clicking the m4r file doesnt add it to itunes. i got it to work for 3 out of 20 songs. that means that it doesnt work 85% of the time. an app is easier. just type ringtone maker into app store and the icon is grey with an orange music symbol. that is the best app. hope this helps.

I tried but my Apple devices all use Music and not iTines. Music does not let me access ringtones at all. Also, when I connect the iPhone to my Mac via USB it shows up in Finder's devices column but clicking on it will only show me a sync window with options for music, photos, movies, files etc but no ringtones.
