Fostering collaboration and scholarly exchange in criminal law and criminal justice.
The Yorkshire Criminal Law Forum is a collaborative research initiative by the Universities of York, Leeds, and Sheffield. We aim to foster scholarly exchange in the field of criminal law and justice, welcoming discussions on substantive criminal law, legal theory, procedure, evidence, and broader criminal justice topics. We are committed to supporting researchers at all career stages, from postgraduate students to established academics.
For the past 20 months, our forum has brought together academics, researchers, and students to share cutting-edge research and engage in critical discussion. We host regular workshops, both in-person and online, featuring work-in-progress papers from a diverse range of speakers.
As we grow, we plan to expand our activities to include larger conferences, academic exchanges, and peer support groups. While led by the three core Yorkshire universities, we warmly welcome participation from colleagues across the UK and internationally.
