HIM The Emperor Declines Vishwamitran Honor

His Imperial Majesty Emperor Honmyo declines Vishwamitran Honor

Utsunomiya・Empire of Yata                    (January 9, 2024 Honmyo I)

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a statement dated January 6, 2024 Honmyo I, in an immediate turn of events, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Honmyo has declined to accept the Order of the Crown of Purvanchal which was granted to him on January 6, 2023 Honmyo I.

This was done in an attempt to safeguard the provisions under Article 60 of the Honmyo Constitution. The Article states that, "Any honors, decorations, medals or titles of nobility granted by any unrecognized State are declared null. " This reinforces the fact that Integral Citizens of the Empire (including all members of the Imperial Family and The Grand Chancellor of the Realm) are not allowed to wear honors, decorations and medals granted to them by any unrecognized state.

It is worth noting that DIplomatic Talks between the Empire of Yata and Vishwamitra were underway when this incident happened. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gestures at the Diplomatic Talks to potentially fail. This situation was a result of 'Anoynomous Vishwamitran Ministers' calling Yata a blantant copy of Japan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed their sadness on such unprecedented remarks.

His Imperial Majesty, The Emperor on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also made it quite clear that Yata would do anything to guard it's Foreign Policy, and hence reinstated to not accept the honor.

"We respect the fact that Dhrubajyoti Roy, the sovereign of the Order was kind enough to consider bestowing His Imperial Majesty with it. But, Yata as a sovereign entity has and strives to conserve the right of it's foreign policy. Yata decides what it takes and throws, wheter it enters a fray or remains neutral and we request International co-operation for the same." Said Prince Sanehiko, The Secretary of the Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs.

The Order of the Crown of Purvanchal, the third highest order of chivalry of the state of Purvanchal is conferred for distinguished services towards the state and its people. The order was constituted on 7 September 2020 by Dhrubajyoti Roy. The order is conferred upon both state and foreign dignitaries for their outstanding and remarkable services.
