Yasuhisa Fujii

Yasuhisa Fujii received his Doctor of Engineering degree from Toyohashi University of Technology in Aichi, Japan, in 2012, under the supervision of Seiichi Nakagawa. He joined Google in Mountain View, California, USA, in October 2012. Since then, he has been involved in research on optical character recognition. Currently, he co-leads the Google OCR team with Alessandro Bissacco, under the direction of Ashok Popat. He moved to Google Tokyo, Japan, in January 2022, and enjoys urban life. He received the 2012 Paper Award from IEICE. His major research interests include machine learning for speech, vision, and language.
