Yao Xiao recently joined Mayo Clinic as a Senior Data Science Analyst in the Departemtn of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics. Yao completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Radiation Physics with Dr. Laurence Court. Yao obtained her Ph.D. degree at the University of Florida J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Ruogu Fang is her Ph.D. advisor.
Yao's research interests are interdisciplinary research related to biomedical image computing, data science, and computational health informatics. Her goal is to develop reliable, feasible, and affordable solutions to improve healthcare by using advanced techniques, such as Artificial Ingellegence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision techniques. Her current topics at Mayo Clinic include clinical notes phenotype analysis.
