About me

Hello! I'm Yanli Liu, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Northeastern University. I am on the 2023-2024 Economics job market.

My research interests include industrial organization and labor economics. Currently, my research is centered on signal and reputation systems in both digital and physical domains. My primary focus is to address two general research questions: how information and identity are conveyed and interpreted across diverse contexts, and the resulting impact on economic agents, primarily consumers, along with their impacts on market efficiency.
