Dr. Yang Zou is a CPSF-funded postdoctoral researcher in Developing Finance Program, Peking University. He earned his PhD in Finance from Renmin University of China, following a Master's degree from Warwick Business School and a Bachelor's degree with First-Class Honour from Cardiff University. Dr. Zou also has experience as a transfer pricing consultant at Ernst & Young (China), where he specialized in international tax compliance and tax planning.
His research area focuses on corporate finance, banking, and financial markets in China, with contributions published in Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Finance Research Letters, and the International Review of Financial Analysis, etc. Currently, Dr. Zou is working as part of the INSE Development Finance project to build the PDB (Public Development Bank) & DFI (Developing Financial Institution) Database. He is also researching on academic issues of developing finance, particularly the role and impact of DFIs on economic development.
