I am Liying Yang (Lily), a postdoctoral research fellow at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
My research lies at the intersection of business analytics, innovations & entrepreneurship, and targeted policies and strategies, with expertise in the econometric theory of large panel data models with heterogeneity.
I employ machine learning and text analysis, to explore the intersections between the effectiveness of information transmission, the market of ideas, innovations, entrepreneurship, and the dynamic economic environment.
I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Southern California in 2023. My CV can be found here [link].
