Assessment is based on mastery targets
We believe in criteria referencing i.e. students are not graded against each other but against learning attainment targets (standards-based education) stated in writing and recorded by mastery statements. Each student has a learning and assessment portfolio which records skills and knowledge based on the mastery statements. We aim to promote good inclusive practice.
Every subject guideline contains mastery targets and levels for that subject and also assesses student goals and core skills.
