A series of 7 video projections. This work records the five months spent in Italy, where I intended to move back to live. However, circumstances led me to capture these images that, unconsciously, constantly referred to the Cuban context in which I had lived for more than 10 years. I conceive this work as a travel diary from mourning, due to the rejection of that old/new context, which ultimately led me back to Cuba. The videos are presented alongside a constantly repeating piano melody and a recording of an amateur band captured in their original environment.
