I draw from the Greek myth of Prometheus to establish a reading from contemporary perspectives, taking its symbolic elements. The virtual fire represents a fictitious alternative ideal, while the liver, lacking its regenerative capacity, is a passive decaying body. Through this work, I explore the individual and collective exhaustion of contemporary man.
The video installation consists of a television displaying a looping video of a flame, accompanied by manipulated audio that conveys the sensation of a dying lament. In front of the television, there will be an animal liver placed on a programmed Arduino plate that slightly moves the mass.
