- Yaman K Singla, Scientist at Adobe MDSR, Google PhD Fellow at SUNY-Buffalo and IIITD
Note: This post is specifically for Computer Science and related branches.
Note: Many of these fellowships are open to people who are applying for PhD soon (that means you need not be a PhD student before applying for them)
This post came about as a result of several interactions with many of my friends doing PhD around the world. Quite a few of those misfits wanted to do a PhD in India but did not know about all the opportunities available here and ended up making an un-informed decision. So here's a series of posts dedicated to:
Making the Indian PhD scene a bit clearer
Helping others riding in the same boat to make a more informed decision
Helping Indian research community in whatever way I can
Writing a Research Statement for Graduate School and Fellowships
Writing early fellowship/grant applications (as a grad student)
Many fellows have released their fellowship applications to the public. For instance, Tyler LaBonte. Although your individual experience and projects would be quite different from these people but you can always learn the art of presentation and writing from them.
The above list is an ever-growing one.
