If you want feature-rich wireless listening for children, choose Yamaha YH-L700A; if you need a simple wired USB-C headset for classroom use, choose XOSDA Type C Headphones. The Yamaha offers active noise cancellation, ambient sound, and 3D audio, while XOSDA’s appeal is its plug-in design and adjustable on-ear fit. For a child who needs a headset for school devices, the right choice comes down to whether wireless features or a direct wired connection matter more.
Yamaha YH-L700A vs XOSDA Type C Headphones at a Glance
• XOSDA Type C Headphones’ biggest strength: a simple USB-C wired connection, adjustable headband, and soft foam cushions. Trade-off: there is no built-in microphone, and the wired design limits movement.
• For children who need rich audio features and wireless freedom: Yamaha is the more capable option.
• For classrooms or families outfitting multiple children with compatible devices: XOSDA’s 50-headphone pack is designed for that use.
• Choose Yamaha for: Bluetooth listening, noise-control options, and movie-friendly sound features.
• Choose XOSDA for: straightforward USB-C audio, shared school settings, and a no-battery-required wired setup.
The Yamaha YH-L700A is an over-ear wireless headphone built around listening options rather than bare-bones classroom use. Bluetooth 5 with aptX Adaptive supports wireless audio, and its stated battery life is 34 hours. For a child who uses headphones for videos, music, or longer listening sessions, that combination can mean fewer restrictions from a cable and less frequent charging than a device with shorter listed endurance.
Its sound features are unusually varied for this comparison. The 3D Sound Field uses head tracking for movies and videos, while Listening Optimizer adjusts audio in response to the listener and environment. Active noise cancellation is available when reducing outside noise is useful; Ambient Sound offers a way to hear more of the surroundings instead. Listening Care is intended to retain a fuller range of sound at lower listening volumes. Those features give families more ways to tailor listening, though they also make this a more involved choice than simply plugging in a school headset.

I’d consider Yamaha for an older child or teenager who will use wireless headphones across different activities and can manage a feature-rich device. Its earcup controls handle music, calls, and voice control, and it can activate Siri or Google Assistant. I’d skip it if the main need is a basic wired headset for a school-issued USB-C device, or if you specifically need an in-ear model. The Yamaha is over-ear, and the provided information describes its intended age range as adult.
XOSDA Type C Headphones: Who It's For
XOSDA Type C Headphones are on-ear wired headphones aimed at children, students, and classroom settings. Their USB-C plug connects directly to compatible devices, avoiding Bluetooth pairing and battery charging. The adjustable headband is intended to accommodate different head sizes, and soft foam ear cushions support the basic comfort needs of schoolwork, video lessons, and other everyday listening.
The pack contains 50 individually wrapped headphones, making it a practical format for classrooms or other settings that need multiple units. They are lightweight, have swivel earcups, and use a wired connection. Those design choices favor simple distribution and storage, but a cable remains attached during use. Compatibility is also worth checking: the headphones are described for USB-C audio devices, so a device needs a suitable USB-C audio connection.
There is one important limitation for families comparing these with the Yamaha: XOSDA does not have a microphone. That makes it a poor match when a child needs to speak during online lessons or calls. It may still suit listening-focused school tasks, but it should not be mistaken for a complete communications headset. The description mentions soft foam cushions, not memory foam, so shoppers specifically searching for memory foam ear cushions kids headset for children should not assume that material is included.

• Best for movie-focused listening → Yamaha YH-L700A. Its head-tracked 3D Sound Field is specifically described for movies and videos.
• Best for a child who needs a microphone → Neither is a clear match. XOSDA has no microphone, and the Yamaha’s listed controls support calls but the supplied details do not specify a built-in microphone.
• Best for the phrase “best bluetooth earbuds for children” → Neither is actually an earbud. Yamaha is an over-ear Bluetooth headphone; XOSDA is an on-ear wired headphone. If the requirement is truly earbuds, look for a separate in-ear option.
I’d choose the Yamaha YH-L700A for a child who will use headphones for different kinds of listening and can benefit from Bluetooth, noise control, and its long listed battery life.
I’d choose XOSDA for a classroom that needs a pack of simple wired USB-C headphones for listening-only tasks.
For children, my overall pick is Yamaha when flexibility matters more than plug-and-play simplicity.
But I would not choose either as a definite answer to best with microphone in ear earbuds for children: neither is an in-ear model, and XOSDA explicitly has no microphone.
They suit different needs. Yamaha is an over-ear wireless headphone with several sound and noise-control features; XOSDA is an on-ear wired option made for classroom-style use and available in a 50-unit pack. Consider the child’s device, whether a cable is acceptable, and whether wireless features are useful.
No. The product information states that XOSDA does not have a microphone. It can handle listening through a compatible USB-C audio connection, but it is not the right choice when a student must speak through the headset.
They are designed for compatible USB-C audio devices, and the listed examples include smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks. Compatibility depends on the device having a USB-C connection that supports audio; check the device details before choosing them.
Yamaha has the more explicit noise-control options: active noise cancellation and Ambient Sound mode. XOSDA emphasizes a lightweight build, flexible swivel design, and reinforced connectors in its description, but it does not list active noise cancellation. Neither set of details establishes how either product will hold up under a particular child’s use.
