Description: Pack a lunch and join us for a fun-filled day trip to Leavenworth. We will begin our day at God's World Exploration Station where we will see evidence of God's creation and the worldwide flood. All students will have an opportunity to see fossils, ancient bible texts and touch artifacts, all while learning more about archaeology from a biblical worldview. Kids will be able to ask lots of questions and see items they have only read about in books. The museum is in a park-like setting so there is ample room for younger kids to run around and play.

Following lunch, our students will visit the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum (15 minute drive) and take part in a self-guided tour/scavenger hunt activity through the museum. After the welcome and introduction by the attendant, students will receive a list of nutcrackers that they are to find throughout the museum. (With over 7000 nutcrackers this is more challenging than you think!) All nutcrackers in the museum are in a glass-enclosed case for your peace of mind and to keep little fingers away from the valuable pieces. When the list is filled each older student will get a "I found the Crackers" pin. The younger students will receive a "I Found the Cracker" wristband.

After the nutcracker hunt, families will have the rest of the day to explore Leavenworth on their own, shopping, eating and exploring the Bavarian village. Maybe even take your bikes and ride on the new pump track!

Travel time: Please allow 1 hour and 45 minutes hours from Yakima.
