I am an astrophysicist studying some of the most incredible and energetic objects in the universe: supermassive black holes.
My research is focused on the evolution and properties of the gas around supermassive black holes, using X-ray spectroscopy observations from telescopes such as NuSTAR, XMM-Newton, and Swift. I am also very interested in the infrared espectroscopic analysis and X-ray variability of active galactic nuclei (AGN). You can see my Research and publicationspages for more details.
Now, I am a FONDECYT postdoctoral fellow at Universidad Diego Portales (UDP), where I am focusing on studying the structure of dust around the AGN and the supermassive black hole. Before joining to UDP, I got my PhD. degree at the Universidad de Valparaiso (Chile) in 2022, and prior to that, I did my Master at the Instituto nacional de pesquisas espaciais in Brazil. Earlier, I was undergraduate student at Universidad Simon Bolivar, in Venezuela and I worked at Centro de Investigaciones de Astronomia (CIDA). You can see my CV for more details (updated April 2025).
