Dr. Xin Wang is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University at Albany School of Public Health. He is a faculty member of the UAlbany AI Institute and Global Center for AI in Mental Health.

Dr. Xin Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY) in 2015. He was a research intern at Microsoft Research Asia (2011) and GE Global Research Center (2014, 2015). He worked at a startup AI Medical Device Company (Keya Medical) in Seattle (2016-2023). His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, AI Foundation Models, AI for Health Science, Medical Image Analysis, Reinforcement Learning, Large Language Model, AI for Social Good, and Social Media Forensics. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
