Welcome!
I’m a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Michigan State University and am currently on the academic job market for 2025–2026.
I study applied microeconomics, with research interests in health economics and public economics, focusing on sexual and reproductive health. My research examines how public policies in the United States affect health outcomes and behavioral responses.
My job market paper analyzes how Paid Family Leave (PFL) policies influence maternal and infant health outcomes and racial health disparities. My dissertation further investigates mothers’ incentives to strategically time births in order to maximize paid leave benefits. In related work, I study inequality in healthcare access and racial disparities in pregnancy-associated mortality, including the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
