I am a final-year Ph.D. candidate at The Ohio State University, advised by Prof. Wuyang Hu.
I specialize in agribusiness and food marketing, consumer economics, and behavioral and experimental economics. My research primarily focuses on the nexus between consumer preferences, willingness to pay, and their implications for food markets and policymaking using experimental and behavioral analysis. I am proficient in designing discrete choice experiments and incentivized field experiments, and in harnessing both primary data and AI-assisted survey tools to conduct research with implications for food marketing and food policy on local, national, and global scales.
A growing strand of my research explores the intersection of AI and consumer behavior, from AI-generated communication that improves preference elicitation (the subject of my job market paper) to how consumers respond to and interact with AI in food markets.
I also love the classroom: I have taught AEDECON 2001 as instructor of record and experiment with games, student surveys, and AI-assisted learning to see what actually helps students learn. I am on the academic job market this year, please reach out for any opportunities!
