Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Aegis mobile application (the "App") operated by Wei ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Aegis is a Safari extension-based privacy and security application for iOS. The App provides:
Ad and tracker protection
Website security scoring and analysis
Privacy dashboard
Content saving
Home screen and lock screen widgets
Parental lock
All features operate locally on your device. The App does not require an account or internet connection for core functionality (except for initial App download and subscription verification).
The App offers a free tier that includes:
Standard protection mode
Basic security scoring
Content saving (limited to 5 items per month)
Small home screen widget
Premium features are available through auto-renewable subscriptions:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
Free trial period, if offered, will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
Open the Settings app on your device
Tap your Apple ID at the top
Tap Subscriptions
Select Aegis and choose Cancel Subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the subscription expires.
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription by tapping "Restore" on the subscription screen within the App.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part thereof
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
The App allows you to save content (webpage URLs, PDFs, text, images) from Safari to the App for personal reference:
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of saved content complies with applicable copyright laws and the terms of the websites you visit.
The App stores webpage references as URL bookmarks only; it does not archive or download full webpage content.
Saved PDFs, text, and images are items you explicitly choose to share via the standard iOS Share Sheet.
All saved content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and user interface, is the intellectual property of Wei and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
The security scoring and tracker identification will be 100% accurate or complete
All ads, trackers, or security threats will be identified or protected against
The App will be compatible with all websites or web content
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL Aegis BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
Your use or inability to use the App
Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
Any third-party content or conduct related to the App
Any other matter relating to the App
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wei from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable local laws of the user’s place of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
