Welcome to Xpense Hunt ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We only collect information that is necessary to provide you with a seamless expense tracking and gamified savings experience.
Authentication Data: When you sign in using Google Authentication, we collect your Full Name, Email Address, and a unique User ID (UID) provided by Firebase Authentication.
Financial & Transaction Data: All data related to your income, expenses, savings goals, streaks, and unlocked badges are stored securely.
Storage Location:
Local Storage: Your main financial transactions and goals are stored locally on your device using an encrypted Room Database.
Cloud Storage: Your basic profile information (Name, Email) is managed via Firebase to keep your account synced.
We use the collected data solely for the functioning of the app, including:
Displaying your personal profile (Name and Email) inside the app.
Calculating your daily Saving Streaks and managing the milestone-based Badges (e.g., Goal Crusher, First $1k).
Syncing your profile state across sessions when you log in or log out.
We do not sell, rent, or share your financial or personal data with any third-party advertisers.
To provide authentication, our app integrates with the following third-party service provider:
Google Play Services & Firebase Authentication: Used securely to authenticate your identity and sync your profile. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Local Data: You can delete all your local financial data at any time by going to your phone's Settings → Apps → Xpense Hunt → Storage → Clear Data.
Account Deletion: If you wish to delete your account and remove your authentication profile from Firebase, you can request account deletion through the app's support channel, and your Firebase User Record will be permanently erased.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your financial records remain private on your device, and Firebase Auth tokens are securely encrypted by Google Play Services to prevent unauthorized access.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
