If you want ultra-flat earbuds designed specifically for side sleepers who need a non-in-ear fit, choose Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini; if you need versatile in-ear buds with Bluetooth 5.4 sharing capabilities and a secure seal for active movement, choose NVXMANIYK Headse.
• Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini: Its biggest strength is the specialized flat shape that eliminates pressure points for side sleepers, but it sacrifices deep bass and high-fidelity audio power due to its tiny driver size. This pick is for those prioritizing comfort over sound intensity.
• NVXMANIYK Headse: Its biggest strength is the advanced Bluetooth 5.4 chip allowing dual-device sharing and a secure ergonomic fit for workouts, but it lacks the ultra-low profile needed for lying directly on your cheek. This pick is for listeners who want versatility and sharing features.
The Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini is engineered with a singular, clear purpose: to exist unobtrusively while you rest. The defining feature here is the "non-in-ear" design paired with an ultra-flat shape. Unlike traditional earbuds that push into the canal or create a lump against your pillow, these sit gently on the outer ear. The data sheet emphasizes that the surface and angle have been refined to balance beauty and comfort, ensuring they do not protrude. For someone who has ever woken up with sore ears from sleeping on their side, this specific geometry solves a physical problem rather than just offering another listening option.
This product is ideal for the person who needs to block out noise without pain. The passive noise cancellation works because of the snug, flush fit against the ear, not by sealing the canal. The weight is listed at just 18.14 grams for the pair, which translates to roughly 0.1 oz per bud, making them feel almost weightless. You get two distinct modes in one pack: the "mini" version for discreet office use or light activity, and the dedicated "MD" flat version for sleep. However, there is a trade-off in audio fidelity. Because the flat sleep buds house smaller drivers to maintain that slim profile, the sound quality is optimized for clarity and soothing tones like white noise or audiobooks rather than thumping bass or dynamic range. If you are looking for the best memory foam ear cushions ear clip headphones for workout scenarios where heavy bass is key, this might not be your primary choice, though they are light enough for gym wear.

You should skip the Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini if you require deep immersion in music or if you need a tight seal for high-intensity cardio. The battery life is rated at 4 hours, which is sufficient for a full night's sleep cycle or a standard workday, but it charges in 1.5 hours, which is slower than some competitors. The controls are managed via an app, which adds a layer of convenience for customization but removes the direct touch interface found on other models. Ultimately, this is a niche tool for sleep and quiet focus, not a general-purpose powerhouse for the gym.
The NVXMANIYK Headse takes a different approach by focusing on connectivity, sharing, and a secure in-ear experience. These buds utilize Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which offers a more stable connection and lower latency compared to older standards. A standout feature is the innovative "Two Bluetooth Headphones Design," allowing you to connect two separate sets of earbuds to a single device. This means you can share a movie or podcast with a friend during a workout or on a flight without disturbing anyone else nearby. The range extends up to 33 feet, providing ample freedom of movement without dropouts.
For the active user, these earbuds are designed with an ergonomic, in-ear shape that includes multiple sizes of soft ear tips. This ensures a secure fit that stays put during vigorous movement. The charging case is slightly larger to accommodate the extra components, measuring 10.25 cm in length, but it still fits easily into pockets. With a battery life of 4 hours and a quick charge time of just 1 hour, these are ready for long commutes or extended gym sessions.
However, because these are in-ear buds, they will not lie flat against a pillow like the Xmenha model. If you are a strict side sleeper, the in-ear design might cause discomfort or pressure after a few hours of rest. They are better suited for upright activities, running, or casual listening while standing or sitting. The control method relies on touch controls, which offers immediate access to music and calls without needing an app. While they lack the specific "flat" engineering for sleep, their universal compatibility and ability to handle hands-free communication make them a strong contender for anyone needing a reliable, all-day companion.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the NVXMANIYK Headse for my daily routine. The ability to share audio with a partner and the secure, ergonomic fit make it far more versatile for real-world scenarios, including for workout sessions where stability is paramount. While the Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini is a marvel of comfort engineering for sleep, the NVXMANIYK offers a superior balance of connectivity, battery speed, and audio power for general use. If you are torn between a dedicated sleep tool and a multipurpose headphone, the NVXMANIYK Headse is the smarter investment for most people.
Neither model uses active noise cancellation; both rely on passive noise isolation. However, the NVXMANIYK Headse provides a tighter seal with its in-ear tips, making it more effective at blocking gym noise during exercise compared to the open-fit Xmenha.
No, the Xmenha Flat Sleep Mini does not feature memory foam cushions. Instead, they use a smooth, polished plastic design to achieve a non-in-ear, ultra-flat profile that avoids the pressure points associated with foam inserts.
While you can use them for sleep, they are designed as in-ear buds with a slight bulk that may become uncomfortable if you lie on your side for extended periods. They are better suited for napping in a seated position or for users who sleep on their backs.
