last january, xlov (x-love) successfully debuted, expressing the origin of ‘unfinished love, the various kinds of painful love they experienced’ through each member's unique, delicate charm. building on that powerful ambition from their start, they solidify their standing as artists with an even hotter, more provocative image.

'only, only i'm tryna be your one and only'
their debut single [i'mma be] signaled that their story was just beginning, that it would deepen and never end, leaving audiences anticipating an even more intense next chapter. xlov's second story [i one] aims to fulfill that expectation. it carries the message that all beings, including xlov and everyone across the globe, are ‘irreplaceable’ and ‘one of a kind’ simply by existing. it also seeks to capture that ‘each individual's unique beauty is always burning brightly’.

hidden messages can be found throughout the second single album [i one]. alongside the main message ‘i am one and only in this world’, the word ‘one’ is cleverly transformed into the homophone ‘want’, allowing the album to also be expressed as ‘i want’. furthermore, i.o.n.e is written as l.o.v.e, adding the meaning of ‘love’. we aimed to fully leverage the fun of elements like 'wordplay.'

'i one' features lyrics written by the team's producer member ‘wumuti’ for all tracks. it includes three new songs related to '1 (il)': 1&only, 1 of lov, and bizness (meaning 'business' in korean). furthermore, it contains the respective instrumental tracks for each new song, totaling six tracks.

the title track '1&only' is an afrobeat/afropop song blending lush pad synths, smooth bass, and rhythmic vocals. its lyrics urge fans and listeners to 'move with your instincts,' 'don't suppress your burning desire, let it blaze even brighter,' and 'i am unique to you, and you are unique to me—don't hide anything, show me everything just as you feel it.'

another track, '1 of lov,' is an emotional song where afrobeat, amapiano, r&b elements, ambient synths, and powerful log drums all blend together. it declares, 'for those lost and wandering, i'll be a helping hand, moving together toward our destination,'
'with xlov, the secrets you and i hid from each other will no longer stay hidden once they meet,'
and 'no matter what happens, i won't let go of your tightly clasped hand.' these lyrics further amplify the song's rich emotional depth.

finally, the third track, 'bizness,' is a minimal yet powerful hip-hop song combining intense 808 bass elements with kitschy, energetic chant-style vocals. its lyrics tell those who dislike others, 'get lost far away,' 'if you want the skirt we wear, we'll gladly hand you a spot to worship it,' and 'your wish list is nothing but tedious business to me.'
