XL6 – Powerful in Design, Indulgent in Comfort

NEXA launched XL6 as a premium MPV in the Indian car market to a lot of applause. The XL6 offers an amazingly sporty look and comes in a 6-seater configuration with captain seats in the second row. The car also has several exterior and interior styling features that have made the car a superior choice for prospective car buyers.

Interiors

An all-black treatment with silver inserts and a leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel give a sporty feel to the cabin. The XL6 gets captain seats in the middle row which means that the second row offers individual seats for the occupants. You can also opt for the XL6 with leather upholstery in the interiors. For the convenience of the driver, the XL6 has a height-adjustable seat, multi-functional steering, and a Multi-information Display with gearshift indicator. The MPV is also equipped with the latest in infotainment systems – the SmartPlay Studio. It supports Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay. Moreover, for added convenience, it also gets Cruise Control, Engine Push-Start button with Smart Key, Tilt Steering, and Automatic Climate Control. For the comfort of the rear passengers, the XL6 also has rear AC vents, individual armrests and the seats come with one-touch recline and slide functions. The NEXA XL6 is feature-rich, to say the least.

Performance and Handling

The suspension of the XL6 can absorb almost everything on the road and the ride is comfortable throughout. Its 1.5L Petrol Engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology is quite refined and responsive to drive.

Exteriors

Exteriors of the XL6 include a new large grille that is flanked by a new set of automatic quad-LED headlamps with Daytime Running lamps. The headlamps also feature Follow Me Home with lead me to vehicle functionality. The new sporty bumper with the faux skid plate enhances the front of the vehicle. XL6 also comes with a black body cladding all around with blacked-out electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. The front LED fog lamps offer enhanced visibility during night-time. Speaking of the side profile, the XL6 has roof-rails and side cladding with 15-inch alloy wheels for a sportier appeal. The rear of the car features 3D LED tail lamps and a skid plate on a sporty bumper.

Engine & Transmission

All of the XL6 variants come with a BS-VI compliant 1.5L K15 Smart Hybrid Petrol Engine that produces 103 bhp of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Fuel Efficiency

The NEXA XL6 offers a rated fuel-efficiency of 19.01 km/l* (MT) and 17.99 Km/l* (AT). However, the mileage, of course, depends on the driving habits of the driver and the maintenance of the car.

Braking and Safety

The standard safety kit on the NEXA XL6 comprises of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, speed-sensitive door locks, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, and central locking. With the automatic variant, you also get Electronic Stability Program with Hill Hold. Moreover, a rear parking camera is another feature on the higher trims of the XL6.

The XL6 has gained quite a lot of popularity since its launch. After all, not many MPVs in the market offer the premiumness and comfort that XL6 does as a package.
