My research interests lie in the theoretical foundations of machine learning, with a particular focus on statistical learning theory, information-theoretic learning, robust learning, decentralized optimization and learning over networks.
During my Ph.D., I focused on the generalization theory of machine learning algorithms. My Ph.D. thesis develops an information-theoretic framework to characterize and improve the generalization capabilities of supervised learning algorithms.
