I am currently a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas. My research interest is software security, with a focus on applying machine/deep learning for vulnerability detection, patch management, program analysis, etc. I am also interested in AI security and systems security. I received the NSF CAREER Award in 2026. I earned my Ph.D. degree from George Mason University in 2023, advised by Dr. Kun Sun at the Center of Secure Information System and honored with Outstanding Dissertation Award. I got my B.E. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017.
I am looking for self-motivated PhD students starting from Spring/Fall 2027. Experience in AI/LLM and software/systems security is preferred. If you are interested, please send your CV and transcripts to xinda dot wang at utdallas dot edu.
