I am an assistant researcher in the experimental space physics group at UCLA. I study current sheet dynamics and wave-particle interactions in the solar wind and Earth's magnetosphere. The general philosophy behind my research is to combine very rapid development of computational opportunities and modern spacecraft measurements to resolve longstanding questions in plasma physics, which are also fundamental and specific for the solar wind and magnetospheric plasmas.
I received my Ph.D. in Space Physics from UCLA in 2017, where I was advised by Professors Jacob Bortnik and Richard Thorne. Prior to that, I completed my Bachelor's degree at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012. I'm originally from Shaanxi province, China, where I attended the High School Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University.
